About The Black Eyed Peas
The Black Eyed Peas are a four-piece Hip-hop group based in Los Angeles. They are composed of vocalists Taboo, apl.de.ap, Fergie, and multi-instrumentalist Will.i.am. As a band, their album sales are approaching the 28 million mark, and they have sold an estimated 31 million singles.
Their first album was 2003's Elephunk, which spawned their first single success with 'Where is the Love,' which featured Justin Timberlake (it was recorded during the period in which Timberlake separated from Britney Spears) and became a number one hit in more than 10 countries. They also had a European hit with the song 'Shut Up.'
Their follow-up album, 'Monkey Business,' (released June 7, 2005) achieved Platinum status three times over in the U.S. Market, and from this two hits were taken, namely 'Don't Phunk With My Heart' and 'My Humps.'
They then embarked on a seemingly endless round of tours across the world, both with other established artists such as Gwen Stefani, and as headliners in their own right.
In March 2006 they released a remix album, 'Renegotiations,' which featured work from, among others, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Pete Rock, Eric Sermon, and Large Professor.
Their next album, 'The E.N.D,' came out in 2009, and despite the long time between releases, it continued their trend of chart success. So far, this album has produced the number one US hits, 'I Gotta Feeling,' 'Boom Boom Pow.'
Their commercial success shows no sign of abating, and whatever they do next, it is sure to be met with keen interest by many.
