About Scouting for Girls

Scouting for Girls is a band from London which was formed by Greg Churchouse, Peter Ellard and Roy Stride in 2005. The band has the distinction of selling over 1.5 million singles and over 1.2 million albums globally. Their biggest hit is "This Ain't a Love Song". This song peaked at number one in the UK.

Greg Churchouse and Roy Stride attended the same school in West London. They studied in the school until 13 years of age and then attempted to launch their music career. They started playing at small shows in West London when they were just 15 years old. During their University days, both Stride and Churchouse were part of a band called Cape. Later they formed Scouting for Girls and started performing in a small room in Harrow.

In 2007, the band was signed to Epic UK and started working on their debut album. The first release of Scouting for Girls was an EP entitled It's Not About You which was produced by Andy Green. The EP got the distinction of becoming the highest charting EP in the history of limited edition EP releases. Almost one million copies of the album were sold in the United Kingdom alone. Their self-titled album peaked at number one in the UK and continued at this top position for two weeks.

During 2007 and 2008, Scouting for Girls toured a number of venues around the UK. They also toured heavily across many locations in America, Europe, Australia and Japan in 2008 and were loved by the music lovers.
