About Keri Hilson
Keri Lynn Hilson is a famous R&B artist who was born in Georgia, America on December 5, 1982. She has established herself as a reputable songwriter and recording artist. Hilson acknowledges that she has been greatly influenced by Janet Jackson. She used to be a member of a production team ‘The Clutch’ in mid-2000s. Along with her there were used to be five members in this songwriting and production team. Later in 2006, she got a recording contract from Mosley Music by Timbaland.
Hilson started taking singing and piano lessons when she was just 12 years old. She started working under producer Anthony Dent as a teen artist. She gradually became a songwriter and background vocalist. Later after making attempts twice to form and run girl groups, she went to Atlanta to join Oxford College of Emory University but she kept pursuing her music career.
In March 2009, Hilson’s debut album In a Perfect World... was released and which reached to top five of the Billboard 200 bringing her huge popularity. Her singles from this album "Knock You Down" and "Turnin Me On" were big hits. The album also peaked to number one on the Top R&B chart in the US. Also, she was nominated for Grammy Awards in two categories for her debut album. It was a great achievement for her.
Hilson has been featured in several singles as an outstanding guest vocalist. In both the genres of contemporary R&B and hip hop, she has given number-one hit singles. She also earned fame as a song arranger and proved her versatility in the music world.
