About JLS

JLS (Jack the Lad Swing) are a British boyband who achieved fame by being the runners up in the fifth season of the X Factor, a reality talent show, in 2008, losing out to Alexandra Burke. They are comprised of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan "JB" Gill, and Oritsé Williams, and are on Epic Records. Their first two singles, "Beat Again" and "Everybody In Love" went to #1 on the UK Pop Charts in 2009.

They released their eponymous debut album in November 2009, and it has already been certified triple-platinum in the UK, ironically outselling Alexandra Burke's debut album (she may have won the battle, but she lost the war!). At the 2009 MOBO Awards, they won two awards for Best Newcomer and Best Song ("Beat Again").
