About Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires is a dance punk band which originated from St. Albans in Hertfordshire in England. This band is composed of three permanent members and one member who appears for live performances. The permanent band members of Friendly Fires are Ed Macfarlane, Jack Savidge and Edd Gibson. Rob Lee is the only member of the band who appears for the live performances.
While Friendly Fires is mainly a dance punk band they also perform music which has a lot of alternative dance rhythms to it. The musical career of Friendly Fires began in 2006 however it was only during 2008 that their self-titled debut album was released under the management of XL Recordings.
The origins of the band began during their school going days when they performed as a post-hardcore group which was called First Day Back. The name of the band changed when they went to university. From this point the band changed it musical style as well. Success has also followed on the heels of this change. Today you will see that Friendly Fires has a number of awards to its credit.
