About Devlin
More popularly known as Devlin, his full name is James Devlin and he was born in Dagenham. He is a grime MC and is also member of the O.T Crew. Other famous members of this crew are Deeperman, Dogzilla and Syer Bars. He is also a part of The Movement. Other than Devlin, the group consists of DJ Unique, Ghetts, Lightning, Mercston, Scorcher and Wretch 32. James Devlin has top 40 records to his credit.
When Devlin was just 15 years old, he joined the entourage of Dagenham grime. Other crew members on this tour were Deeperman, Dagenham MC Dogzilla, and Michael Carnegie. His first ventures were at Flava FM. His performances here started to take him towards his stardom. Besides devoting his time in the music industry, he also played football in the Sunday league for Senrab F.C.
Devlin became very popular for producing Ledley King and John Terry. Devlin released his debut album Bud, Sweat and Beers in 2010. His first single was "Brainwashed" from the album. His second single "Runaway" was released in October 2010 and has been his most successful single as of today. This single was also from his debut album and they paved a grand way for the release of the album in November 2010. It reached at no. 21 on the UK’s album charts. Another track from the album “London City” also entered the UK Chart. “Let It Go” is the third single from his debut album in which British artist Labrinth was featured.
