About Chris Brown
Chris Brown is an American R&B recording artist. He was born 5th May 1989. He has released three studio albums and a number of hit singles. Recently, however, he has been more widely known for allegations of domestic violence.
Chris Brown's first, self-titled album was released in 2005, when Brown himself was just 16 years old. From this album came the single 'Run It!' which reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. This made Brown the first male recording artist since Montell Jordan (ten years previously) to achieve this with his debut single. The album has subsequently sold over two million records in the USA alone, and has been awarded Double Platinum status by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Two years later, he released his second album 'Exclusive,' which has since been certified Platinum in the US. From it have come two hit singles, including 'Kiss Kiss.' The song featured T-Pain and was Brown's second Number One hit. The second single, 'With You' reached the number two spot. This album was subsequently released in a deluxe version, 'The Forever Edition' which included the single 'Forever, ' which was a number two hit in May 2008.
His career was somewhat derailed in February 2009 when he was implicated in a domestic violence case by the Los Angeles Police Department. Initially, the alleged victim was not named, but subsequent media reports identified her as his then-girlfriend, fellow R & B singer Rihanna. He subsequently withdrew from public appearances and on pleaded guilty on June 22 2009. He has since spoken publicly acknowledging responsibility for his actions and apologizing to his fans, his family, and Rihanna herself.
His third album, 'Graffitti' was released in 2009.
