Chipmunk is a solo artist who was born as Jahmaal Noel Fyffe. He hails from Tottenham in England. His nickname was given to him by a good friend from the estate where Chipmunk grew up. In addition to this particular nickname he has others which include Chip, Mr. Munk, and Chip Daddy Chip. At the current time Mr. Fyffe is using the moniker a friend gave him (coming about due to the shape of his teeth) – this being Chipmunk.
Career wise Chipmunk’s main instrument is that of his voice. This has given him the ability of using the rap musical style to great effect. What this means is that Chipmunk is a versatile singer, rapper and songwriter. To showcase these talents the labels that he works for include Sony Music/Columbia Records and Jive Records.
Chipmunk has been given numerous awards which highlight his talents and the recognition of the appeal he has for his numerous fans.
