About Brandon Flowers
Brandon Flowers was born on 21 June, 1981 in Henderson, Nevada. Ass one of six children, he lived in Henderson until the age of 2, until moving to Utah. Flowers lived in Utah until his junior year of high school, when he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with his aunt. In 1999, he graduated from Chaparral High School.
In late 2001, he formed The Killers with guitarist Dave Keuning. They were rounded out by drummer Ronnie Vannucci and bassist Mark Stoermer. They released their first album, Hot Fuss, in 2004, and it became a commercial and critical success, propelled by the singles "Mr. Brightside" and "Somebody Told Me." They have since released two other albums, Sam's Town (2006), and Day & Age (2008), which has only brought more success to the Las Vegas quartet. To date they have sold six million albums in the US, 5 million in the UK, and over 18 million interntionally.
In 2010, however, the band took a kiatus, and Brandon Flowers released his first solo album, entitled Flamingo. The album was successful, reaching #1 in the UK, and spawning the hit single "Crossfire." It was named one of the best albums of 2010, and only further cemented Flowers as a fashion icon and influential force in modern music. He embarked on a successful world tour promoting the album, and he has since resumed work with his band, The Killers.
Brandon Flowers is happily married, and the father of 3 sons. He is also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
