Sweden’s Basshunter (born Jonas Erik Atbuerg on 22 December, 1984) is a Eurodance artist, who started making music in 2002 via the FruityLoops computer program. Through his own website, he released his first two albums, The Old Shit (2002) and The Bassmachine (2004). He was signed to Warner Music in 2006, and released his first single for Warner “Boten Anna.” His next single, “Now You’re Gone,” rose to #1 on the British Singles Chart and stayed there for 5 weeks. His first album for Warner Music was released in 2006, entitled LOL <(^^,)>. It contained English translated titles of the Swedish language tracks.

Basshunter released Now You’re Gone: The Album in 2008, and it spawned 5 hit singles, including the title track, “I Miss You,” and “All I Ever Wanted.” It sold over 300,000 copies in the UK, and went platinum. He released his fifth album, Bass Generation, on 28 September, 2009 to worldwide acclaim. The Bass Generation Tour was launched in October 2009 to support the album. In 2010, he competed in the UK TV series, Celebrity Big Brother, where he finished fourth of the 12 contestants , which also included Sisqo, Lady Sovereign, Stephen Baldwin and Heidi Fleiss. His latest track, “Saturday,” premiered on BBC Radio 1 with Scott Mills on 14 May, 2010.
